I am glad somebody else said it first. I have been racking my brains to think of somewhere "POSH".

I certainly agree with sammy10.When I saw your suggestion about catorgarising restaurants -I thought back to the football shirt syndrome again???? Not again , Goa doesn't do posh.
Someone mentioned the After 7, I've yet to see Leo , the owner, dressed posh ,more like sandals and open neck shirts.
Keep it simple wear what you want , who cares in Goa!!

No posh clothes required in Goa.Everything ends up with that red tinge anyway.Decent shoes will be ruined.My OH always buys the cheapest Asda sandals when we go to Goa by the time we go home they are usually only fit for the bin.Take a few T shirts,shorts and sandals or flip flops.Even in after seven you will not be out of place.

I took loads designer dresses and high heels, never wore them once. No one bothers at night ended up wearing skirts and tops and my faithfull flat sandals even then my feet and toes were orange, strange comparison when you have brown tan LOL.
Le Restaurant in Baga
We do 'Posh' down south. I wore all my nice clothes, in fact i wish id have taken some of my more expensive dresses and high heels, I will be this time.
We stay in Cavelossim Sheila.
There are 2 or 3 nice places where you can get done up and go to eat if thats what you choose to do.

Le Restaurant is no longer in business.
J&A's is though and you could describe it a posh. The garden setting, the crisp linen table cloths and serviettes, the crockery and cutlery, everything is spot on. The waiters are superb, always attentive,never in your face, well turned out and trained.
The food is superb ( Italian style) and it's one place where we decided the food deserved wine to compliment it. It was expensive by Goan standards but cheap by British. A meal for two would be £25-£30 for three courses and a bottle of wine.
Oh and the toilets...... so clean you would mind if your table was in there !

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was almost if not next door to J&A's on the road from Baga bridge towards the Saturday night market.
Now defunct I'm pretty sure !

No don't worry its not the same one - the one on the Baga creek where Mooncrest used to be has gone (can't remember the name) the wonderful 'Le Restaurant Francais ' is still there on Baga Road.
