I think it will be a Monday night their anniversary.

What sort of food does this place do, my sister is NOT adventerous, she's a steak'n'chips girl with no funny sauces!!

Do they have a great view or a water feature or anything like that?

Thanks

Hi kimevans - we have just recently come back from Pernera and have visited the Polixynia on many occasions. Im sure you would all have a wonderful celebration there. The views are fantastic as it is right on the beach and the food is excellent. They do the usual steak and chips but also traditional greek food, ie meze's, moussaka etc. The prices are really good and they love the kids too!

We celebrated our 15th anniversary out there this year - there is a playground for the children which is right in front of the restaurant (as you sit mainly outside under a canopy) so therefore the kids can enjoy themselves too.

Friday night is traditional greek night - which is two fellas playing music and singing and somtimes greek dancing.

I believe you can book a table but by 8.30 the place is heaving - so please be warned try and book.

On the whole i would give this restaurant a 10/10 its one of the best i found whilst there.

Happy holidays!

Thanks to you both.

Can you tell me, is it in the centre of Protaras?

Also, it it a little on the pricy side (that's what shes looking for) somewhere a bit special that you wouldn't normally eat in on holiday or if you did it would be just for two, not a place you would take all the family & eat for £10 a head.

PS I'm not going :( , it's the two of them & kids & partners & grandkids.

Thanks for all/any help

Hi Kim, its actually in Pernera, opposite the the Isaac appartments (I was there the same time as mdaly), if I can work out how to add photos I took a photo of it from the Issac or if you want to pm me with your email address I can email you the photo.

Last time I was in Pernera, there was a really nice place on the corner opposite the Golden Coast Hotel.

I only had a snack lunch there, but seemed really nice.
I think they also do Greek music, but probably not on a Monday :(

Is this the Polixynia? or is it somewhere elso.

Also does thar Capo Greeko, 5* place have an a la carte restaurant & if so is it any good?

Thanks

I cant remember seeing the Golden Coast Hotel, but last Monday we went to a place called Blue Bay, its right on a little bay as the name suggests and they had a greek night with music, dancing etc, well worth a visit and the food was fantastic, we had a meze and it was huge, they do this every Monday evening, we were recommended it by an English couple that live out there.

How about the Blue Spice - also in the Marlita area of Pernera and close to the Polyxenia but posher and more expensive.

The one opposite Golden Coast is Mikrolimano

I would agree Blue Spice would be an excellent choice - oh and last time I went in 2004 they had a yummy chocolate fondue withe fresh fruit!

Theres a great Italian opposite Sea Gulls hotel - in Pernera thats worth a look and just further down the same road is Sizzlers too

Blue Spice sounds good, also she is a big chocolate fan so chocolate fondue sounds right up her street.

They are looking for something a little posh & classy, not your usual holiday steak & wine for £10 a head holiday place.

Can you tell me any hotels or apartments in Pernera that the Blue Spice is near?

Sorry to be a pain & keep asking questions.

Thanks again

Hi Kim

Have a look a this map of Protaras - the Blue Spice is in the middle of grid ref. F6 between the Anastasia (101) and the Marlita (212).

Keep asking away... it's a pleasure for all of us to share!

I was thinking of Blue Spice too! A fantastic restaurant with super food. I worked in Pernera and we went there for my birthday. They had pre-ordered me a huge chocolate cake which was freshly made and very nice! I would also recommend Divas at the end of the main strip in Protaras as another great restaurant.

Suggest you try Nicolas Tavern, or possibly No 1 Restaurant, both are in Protaras.
