Polly don't worry the Osborne is fine , I have stayed there before, it is just that the HB is better and it had come down in price so we are only paying £10 more pp for the HB , we were more than happy with booking the Osborne but couldn't resist the Hb at that price

booked in jan for me and hubby 3wks nov/dec thro travelrepublic.co.uk flying with thomas cook£475 each, direct . they have gone up £54 since then 
just had a look at the flights we,ve booked for nov we paid £475 EACH FOR 3 WKS,,THEYR,E NOW £700 SAME FLIGHT NUMBER AND EVERYTHNG, 
yep been to travel agents booked for a month in feb 
Each time we come back from Goa we say 'right,let's give it a miss next year' and still we book again!!!
I really do think it has some sort of hold over us,because..... yes,we have just booked 2 weeks again for early January.
We have been to Kenya,Sri Lanka,Kerala,Thailand,Gambia and the usual places in Europe,but for us Goa still wins hands down(even taking the bad points into account)every time! Paula

Just booked to go Goa, first time for hubby and I. We have booked the Dona Sylvia hotel at Cavelossim on recommendation. Arrive there on 15/3/10 soooooo looking forward to it.

Have you had dental treatment in Goa in the past, the wife is thinking of having some work done when we go for the 1st time in November, but she is a little worried about the quality of treatment she would receive, Have you any idea of prices and types of treatment available. There are several very good dentists here.
My family have used Dr Vaz in Calangute for about 15 years and between us must have had all types of dental work carried out from a simple check up and clean to implants but he is not the cheapest around. A crown costs about 5000 Rps but they are very high quality and his workmanship is second to none

For anyone wanting to fly from Manchester at the end october beginning of november, E-bookers are doing flights with Turkish Airlines to Mumbai for £288 and the connecting flights are excellent.
I wish I had waited a while to book our flights 'cause I could have saved £40 each
