My son has some hair brained schemes but his latest is to travel to Sydney. I wouldn't mind but he wants to go in February!!! I would have thought it would need a lot more planning especially as he's relying on a bonus from work and has no idea how much that will be!!! Can anyone tell me if public transport is nearby the airport and if it is cheap? He is talking about travelling by train. Seeing the sites by train then stopping off on route. So far he has found a six month pass costing £250. Does anyone know if you can get a shorter pass cheaper as he will only be going for 3 weeks? He's planning on staying in hostels so thinks that wont be too expensive. I think it's a wonderful experience for him to have but just wish he thought about things then acted rather than these last minute schemes with not enough cash .
