Benalmadena Hotels Near Marina & Sol Y Mar Square

Hi everyone,

We're going on a jolly in may which combines a stag-do and a golf trip.

Could anyone recommend a decent hotel within 5 minutes walk of the marina/sol y mar square (preferably on the sea front). We've tried the Alay but its full on the dates we want to go!

I understand I'm being a bit selective here but I'm going away with some right lazy sods!

A question for anyone who's familiar with the resort if you don't mind as well! Does anyone happen to know if the Sand-Dancer bar on the sea-front/los gavitos promenade is still open and owned by Stan & Debra from Sunderland?

last year i stayed twice in benalmadena, once in the H10 Palmasol and once in the Rui Puerto Marina,

the palmasol is within 100 yards of the marina and not bad, the rui puerto marina is right in the marina.

both i stayed at were on half board and the food was exceptional and the rui hotel was the better of the two.

i am off again in april and have booked the sol aloha puerto which is torremolinos but only 500 yards from the benalmadena marina
