reminded us of last year in Marmaris.
Used our card with no probs a few times then went to a resuarant in icmeler where it was refused.After that we could not use it at all.
got home to find Clydesdale BankPhoniing us t o say that Icmeler restaurant had tried to put £46,000 on our card instead of £46 so obviously bank had blocked our card.
Apparently this is a common ploy by restaurants to make you pay in cash as credit cards cost them to process .So beware we are going back to bordrum this year but will noyt use our cards again!

never had anything but good honest value from jewellers but ALWAYS double check what I am signing with the use of a calculator.
even allowing for reports of dishonesty etc. there is always the possibility of a genuine mistake

What's the chance of the Turkish Tourist Board taking an interest if all these cases were put to them together. It is in their interest to stop this kind of thing. You never know maybe they can act were an individual cannnot.
Hi, Whilst in Turkey had my debit card cloned in a atm and they took £700. Will get it all back but make sure you check your statements very carefully as is quite common
