This hotel is really nice, and although more expensive than other hotels and guest houses, it is well worth paying the extra. The downside is that there is no entertainment at all and no swimming pool for your children, but if this doesn't bother you ,you will all love it. It is very clean, the breakfast is excellent, and there is plenty of parking, which a lot of hotels in Blackpool don't have. In the normal family rooms the childrens beds are not full size, so if your children are aged about 10 or over you should book a Club Family Suite, which isn't actually a suite, but a larger room with full size beds overlooking the Pleasure Beach. You can also ask for a normal family room overlooking the PB. They are not noisy as you would expect. Personally, I hate Blackpool, but go every year because our chldren love it, and after having stayed at the Big Blue 4 times now, we would not consider staying anywhere else. Hope this helps.
