We have booked to go tho the didm beach in altinkum at the end of july. The thing is the reports on most of the sites I have looked on are quite worrying as apparently its under new management and they are not too friendly to say the least. We booked through hays who booked the hotel through med hotels, hays say we can move to another hotel if we want to but the problem is we are all inclusive and there is nothing coming up for altinkum for all inclusvie with med. Can anyone recommend another resort from Bodrum airport that we can consider, I have been to marmaris several times and love it so something similar to this would be ideal. The thing is if we choose self catering etc we wont get any money back and weve paid quite a bit for the hotel. Ideally we would like a resort with plenty going on for the kids and a hotel that caters for kids with lots going on, at this late stage though I think we may have to grin and bear it.

Diane . you could have a look at Bitez or turgutreis or maybe bodrum itself if you like things lively. although i dont believe there are any A/is in bitez.we have booked flights to bodrum and always prefer A/I . I have my eye on The Aegean dream hotel/resort in turgutreis .there is a thread running about it . it gets good reviews . there are a couple more A/Is as well .if your interested i will dig through for the names although i think you may have trouble finding a decent alternative for end July. But i agree the recent reviews dont look bad at all for your hotel

The problem with the reviews I read is that the management had been aggressive to customers and even violent to one customer. Also the carry on about one drink per band which means everyone has to go to the bar which can be very awkward. I have looked at the tusan beach but the reviews say it is a bit dated although the animation team are meant to be great.

I wouldnt worry about a few peoples comments. Last year i stayed in a hotel in Turkey and some of the people around the pool were moaning that the staff were aloof and unfriendly. Yet, we found them to be delightful. They were teaching us Turkish, advising us to be careful in the Turkish sun, bantering with us, playing pool with my teenager lad and when my lad got ill during the holiday they were terrific.
It seems to me that if you are warm to people in life then they respond to that....if you do nothing but moan then maybe people are less giving. You will have a great time i am sure.

The reviews I have read as well as on here are trip advisor holidays uncovered and another site I cant remember, but nearly all of the reviews on these sites were negative. One woman actually wrote recently from the hotel to reccomend that people do not book here, I know everyone has diffeent opinions but this is the only site that gives it good reviews.

As Celine said di39 Tusan Beach Resort is absolutely brilliant I went last year and I have to say it was probably the best holiday in Turkey Ive had. Its not Marmaris in the resort but the hotel is perfect, entertainment team absolutely first class throughout each day and entertainment great also, definitely one for the kids while we adults chill out by the pool or the private beach in front
