Now I just have to get used to the idea that I have just spent a wedge of cash, and around the time we go I have Car Insurance, Car Service, MOT and Car Tax to pay for as well as spending money
You are the same with me- all my insurances come up in the summer and car tax
Never mind- you have a holiday to look forward to

Now that we've booked to go here on 18th September for 2 weeks, I have a question or two that hopefully some of you nice people may be able to answer.
1. The Stuido Appartments, are these of a decent size, and if there are any 1 bedroom available when we get there would we be able to swap to one of those if we find it would be better for us (obviously I would expect to pay for this). Off some of the reviews I have read the Studio Appartments are supposed to be a decent size so it may not be an issue.
2. The TV's in the Appartments. Is it the usual channel lists such as Spanish, and maybe Sky News or something, or is the selection quite good (I like to watch TV when we are stuck in the appartment). Also, does anyone know what the connections are like on these TV's and if you can hook up something (such as a portable DVD or Console) to them, or are they pretty much locked down so you cant play about with them.
Really looking forward to going, especially cause of the rubbish weather we are having in the UK at the minute. Thanks in advance.

Im looking to book this DIY next year however First Choice say they have it Exclusively and i cant seem to find anywhere to book it elsewhere. Alpha rooms etc say they have it but when you go to book it says not available.
Any ideas?

Several sites report "No rooms available". You could try emailing direct...

...but from past personal experience it's usually cheaper to book thru an agent than direct (strange but true).

I had an e-mail from them last week as i asked the same question they said it is 15 euros per day for adults and half price for children. They said you need to book for at least 5 days. Hope this helps. No food is included just crisps and ice creams for kids.
Thanks josie. thats not too bad really is it.
hmmm i may have to do that, even though we rarely drink alcohol,we might have a couple at night and im sure the kids would appreciate as much ice cream, drinks and crisps as they want!!!

It seems to be better value if you pay in resort as i think it works out £10 per person ( inc kids ) per day if booked with holiday. Some days you wont be drinking in resort so option of doing in reosrt seems better, think i saw a report that the kids crisps are in bowl around the bar, ready salted !
Just got back from the club del sol
If you want any questions answering just let me know.
Had a fantastic time. The hotel is great. If you are going soon im so jealous

I think you mean the Club Del Sol on the outskirts of Puerto Pollensa....
http://majorca-mallorca.co.uk/hotel_club_del_sol.htm
It's a good 1/2 hour walk out of Puerto Pollensa on the Alcudia road, right opposite the sea. The beach there is mostly shingle and only used by wind-surfers. You need to go into Puerto Pollensa if you want beach.
The Club Resort is in a nice country setting. Can't tell you anything more as I have never stayed there.
