Sorry if this has been asked before, I've looked and not found it. Is Luton -Sharm normally A319 or A320? Just need to know to look at seating plane for plan of attack on finding extra legroom seats, as I've booked speedy boarding!

Thanks

BigJW,

Please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information as there are often several flights. Your flights should be operated by an Airbus A320-200.

Hi All

I'm not sure if anyone can help me but I'll give it a go. A group of us have booked to fly to Palma on 24th May from Liverpool on the 2 p.m. flight. More people would like to join us so I went online to book them the same flights as us but our time flight is no longer available - out of curiosity I checked a few "mondays in April and May" and none of them were showing this flight, it got me thinking that maybe they have cancelled this flight - I have emailed Easyjet but no reply and I seem to be on hold forever when I ring up!!! Do you think they have cancelled the afternoon flights and I will get an email shortly informing me of this????

I have had a similar situation with Ryanair for flights from Valencia in April.

The morning + evening return flights on a Monday have been changed to only one daily morning return flight, of course we booked for the evening return flight - no emails etc yet to confirm the change.

It was when i was doing a check to see if the flights we booked have gone down or up in price - in fact they had done neither as they had disappeared !!!.

I then went online to look at our booking to find we have been automatically bumped to the morning one - we have therefore lost most of the day in Spain

There's a lot of it going on - its a pity those who have booked and paid for their flights are the last to hear about it. Of course the airlines maybe aware of further changes in the pipeline which may result in flights being bumped to different days.

This happended to us and our flight to Valencia this Thursday was originally booked some months ago for Wednesday and was changed to Thursday when they stopped the Wednesday flights. We did however get a email a while back.

Regards, Chris

I'm in the same boat as yourselves but with Monarch. I booked a Friday evening flight Manchester to Faro for August 2010 and it has now disappeared off the timetable. The flights were booked via Avro with TravelRepublic and both have assured me that if the flight was no longer operating then Monarch would have informed them. Attempting to contact Monarch by phone is impossible and they can't tell me via email if the flight is still operating because I did not book with Monarch.
I am going to have to wait until early May when the Summer schedule starts to see if the flight is operating. If it doesn't then the holiday goes out of the window because other circumstances mean that the early morning departure is not an option for me.

Perhaps the wrong place to reply, but I had the same situation with Monarch the flight disapeared from the website I tried emailing and phoning but no one would give me a straight answer so I wrote to their Customer services at Luton and then got the usual reply which was to transfer to another flight or have my money back. If you flight has gone from the website I very much doubt that it will operate, this happens frequently not only with Monarch. Sorry to be pessimistic.

I think I will take your course of action and write to Monarch.

Apologies to everyone for discussing Monarch on the Easyjet thread, although as an option, if I do lose my Monarch flight, Easyjet may be an option as a last resort. I could have booked Easyjet flights more cheaply at the time I booked the Monarch flights but really don't like the scrum at boarding.

Hi , hope someone can help. We flew first time with easyjet last year and were very impressed with luggage allowances. We fly again with them soon to Lanzarote and decided to check in only 1 hold suitcase. My OH has his smallish rucksack and I intend to take small flight suitcase with extra odds and ends. However the depth of my wheeled holdall is 28cm, which is 3 cm over. the other dimensions are under.
I remember looking at the metal grille at the airport and it looks as if the case should fit in length wise ( rectangular) which means my bag may not fit the depth, can anyone give me some advice , should i just chance it or go and buy yet another bag? (NOone seemed to be checking them) :think

I flew with Easyjet Manchester to Alicante in November and they were checking peoples bags if they looked slightly too large, I was panicking as I knew mine was over length wise as I had checked it at another gate, however I was lucky but others weren't and they were being charged the full price for checked in luggage and they had to have the case placed in the hold.

I personally would buy another allowance or a slightly small case.

Thanks for the reply, I cant understand why they cant allow you to take it on if it clearly doesnt look like a huge oversized bag. I have seen people taking oversized cabin luggage and getting away with it. I understand why they have these limits and realistically - Yes you should abide by them.
But it must discourage people from trying to fly without hold luggage. Its practically impossible to get a holdall within these exact dimensions, that will fit a good bit of stuff in, without having to pay a fortune for a case from a specialist company. The dimensions of the bag i have are actually length 49cm, height 30 cm and depth 28 cm. This is clearly not a large bag, i just prefer to take it as it has wheels. But because the depth is over 25 cm if I am asked to put it in the grille it probably wont fit. Any advice would be welcome. s

On some airline the size is only 20cm so worth buying a small case you can get them for around £15.00

Suo, You may get away with it but don't whinge if you don't, what is the point of airlines having rules if you don't abide by them. They are in business to make money not friends and their revenue comes in part from luggage charges. Good Luck :(

A couple of weeks ago, for the first time in dozens of EasyJet flights to Faro from Gatwick, our plane was full (or nearly). The overhead lockers filled up and presumably because of all the unchecked in suitcases they ran out of room. Despite the crew's best efforts to cram everything in, some people had to take out what they needed for the flight and let their cases be put into the hold. Probably not too much of a problem, you might think, but this caused at least 3/4 hour delay in taking off while all the faffing was going on. I don't know how often this happens, but this can't be right and surely the non-checked in luggage policy can't continue if airlines are going to fill their planes by cancelling and amalgamating flights. Or is it the other way round, because of the lower revenue from checked in luggage, perhaps that's the reason flights are being amalgamated.
