Hi Egypt, Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous is all I can say re this hotel. We were delayed for 27 hours on our recent trip to Sharm and we were put in this hotel. It has only been open for about 6 weeks, and the beach front rooms we stayed in were fantastic. The style of the hotel I would describe as modern oriental chic. This hotel has many dramatic features but the most unusual is a bank of 8 escalators from the lobby to the various levels. The decor colours throuout the public areas are dramatic and daring, and it works beautifully. Rooms are great, v. opulent. Beach area has all usual facilities and great toilets! looks like you are entering a beach hut then it is all whitewashed wood doors and marble basins, and an exceptionally good indoor shower, great for last days! There are 2 floating jetties and 2 diving platforms built about 15 ft above the sea, but with steps down for snorklers and swimmers.
I can recomend this hotel 100%, so much so that we are going back in May.

how was the beach area? when i called the hotel directly i was informed that they did not have a beach. or perhaps i understood it wrong.

we are interested in booking the beach front rooms. my friends and i are going to be in Egypt on June of 2006. Did you go to Hurghada?

Hi,we booked our tour independantly, flights cheapflights.com, then we stayed in 3 hotels,The Reef Oasis, Melia Sinai and The Crown Plaza, and only ended up in the Grand Rotana for one night because our plane was delayed.
I have stayed in 10 hotels now in Sharm,but never the Four Seasons, although I know where it is.
The beach area at the Grand Rotana is very good.

Hi , I have never been to Hurghada, I choose hotels for their snorkeling opportunities, and unfortunately Hurghada doesn't have fringing reefs. As I spend 3-4 hours a day snorkeling I have to have direct access to a reef, and the Sharm Hotels offer this.
The Crown Plaza is lovely, certainareas are a little "tired" eg the pol near the beach and the mattresses on the sun loungers, but the Roman pool is incredibly beautiful and I totally allowed my fantasies to run away with themselves while there!
There are lots of optional tours that can be arranged whle in Sharm. I would advise you to arrange them independently, there are places in Naama Bay where you can book, tour opperators charge far to much!

Hi Snorkelbabe I'm fine, getting really excited about our next trip, less than one month to go and we've booked up for next easter too. That hotel looks really nice, quite different to anything i've seen before.

and what would we pay for a taxi to naama bay? and has anyone stayed at this hotel ? we have been told it is only 7/8 months old , i dont know if this is a good thing or not ! ie teething troubles ! etc

for the last 2 weeks, i am sorry i did not go into the hotel in great depth as i am still tired due to the fact we got diverted to athens ,as a fellow passenger was unwell {we hope he is ok} if anyone wants info i will gladly help as it is still in my memory! as i have the attention span of a goldfish! griff
