thats a great article...but i certainly wouldn't describe the places visited as 'unknown' Turkey. They are well known (he also spells pamukkale wrongly...calling it pennekale)
Turkey is a vast country....it has three time zones....my favourite places are off the well beaten tourist trails...the road from Alanya down to Hatay eastern med winds through spectacular mountains and forest and through ancient ruined greek cities. We will be travelling that route on Sunday evening ..visiting relatives during the Kurban Bayram (holiday) which starts on the 10th jan.

15 years ago I went to Ephesus and Pamukkule and by the amount of tourists there it certainly didnt look as if it had just been discovered. One year later we went to Cappadocia via Konya and there were plenty of tourists there aswell.I worked with a lady who went to Turkey back in the 70s and it seemed a world away but thankfully now we can all go to this wonderful country for the same it would cost to go BB in one of our seaside resorts here.
