I've not stayed in either of these hotels but going on where they are situated,valentines is alot closer to the nightlife of candolim then the summerville if the prices were the same for both i'd choose Valentines..

booked valentines...30th dec till 28th jan...1400 quid.....not sure if its a good deal or not but im goin...
