If you are skint you are better off in Northern Ireland which is not in the Euro.
Can recommend the North Antrim Coast great scenery plus Giants Causeway and Carrick a Rede rope bridge:

Galway city is lovely, with some great scenery around - don't know if it's too far from where you are? The city at night has one good street with bars and places to eat and it's vibrant without being too mad.
