Hi, i bought mine from wilkos for 99p, and they do work.
Poundstrecher also have them for a pound or two.
Got mine from the pound shop. (No prizes for guessing how much!!). BBB.
bp garages were also doing them, but were about £2

Yes. Most definately. A lid in effect turns the mug into a thermos 'flask', and I would recommend you purchase a mug that comes with a lid.
Some of these mugs you can keep the lid on and you are able to drink from them still with the lid in place and this prevents spillages. Handy if you are on a bus or somewhere like that where your mug may get 'jolted' and spill boiling hot liquids over you.
the one i bought from wilkos had a lid on.
