Jet2.com has announced that it will add more flights from London Stansted when it launches its new base in the spring.

The first Jet2.com flights are set to depart in late March, with travellers able to head to no fewer than 27 different destinations from the airport during next summer.

Extra flights will be provided to Majorca, Menorca, Crete and Zante in response to demand from customers, whilst new flights to Antalaya, Corfu, Dalaman and Split are also now on sale.

The addition of another aircraft to cater for the demand means there will be seven flying from the airport in Jet2.com colours.

In total, the new routes and additional flights represent the addition of over 65,000 extra seats, taking the total number of seats on sale from London Stansted to over 875,000 - a capacity increase of 8%.

“We are delighted by the response to our London Stansted Airport launch, with our award-winning airline and fantastic package holidays having huge resonance with customers in the south of England,” Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said.

“The phenomenal reaction to our launch means we are already growing our presence at London Stansted, with the addition of Antalya, Corfu, Dalaman and Split meaning that we now offer flights and holidays to 27 fantastic leisure destinations to customers across North & East London and the East of England.”
