Hi Jarvis .... I am having trouble thinking of any complex which fits the bill. You would certainly be able to find a large SC apartment in Benidorm, but a large AI apartment may not be so easy. AI apartment complexes are very rare, especially with accommodation for up to 7 persons per unit.

You may have to compromise on the AI, if you all want to be within the one apartment. Or, if you can't compromise on the AI, you may need two apartments in an AI complex such as Flamingo Benidorm.

Which is more important to you, one large apartment, or the AI facilities ? Have you been to Benidorm (or the Costa Blanca) before ? Do you know just how reasonable it is to eat and drink out ? Unless AI is absolutely essential, you may find it more comfortable and cost effective to rent a large SC apartment at a complex such as the very popular Gemelos 22, and then just dine and socialise outwith the complex.

Is there room for compromise, or is an AI apartment a priority rather than just a preference ? A little more info may help members to come up with some better suggestions for you.

I have mentioned Flamingo Benidorm and Gemelos 22 as examples. You will find reports of both complexes in our Hotel Reviews section (link in top left hand corner of page).

Ideally i would like to get both - AI and a large apartment but it is only a preference

I like the AI and we want the large apartment so we can take off and leave the kids with the in-laws for a bit late night entertainment

Would also look at options of half board but dont really want SC

Never been to Benidorm before

I did manage to find one place that looks like what i am after
- magic monika aparthotel

We stayed at magic monika last year and had a brill time, kids loved it. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment but they did also have much bigger apartments on the higher floors, the food was also great. Do you realise the hotel is just outside benidorm in cala finstrat. It wasnt a problem for us as there is a free bus on during the day to take you to the other hotels in benidorm, we didnt bother leaving the hotel on a night as the kids were happy with there new friends and the entertainment.

Hi gill_mag
yes i did realise that magic monika was outside Benidorm, depending on which site review you read it is between 3 and 4.5 kms. But i am willing to travel a few miles into Benidorm if i can get a large AI apartment on the outskirts

I think you should definitely read some of the reviews for Flamingo Benidorm hotel. The rooms sound huge with sitting area and if I remember rightly kitchen area with the benefit of all inclusive and your entertainment too

Hi Jarvis, not sure of exact distance, but cost just less than 5 euro for taxi to old town. Stayed in old town year before and paid about the same to go to new town. Hubby wanted to return to monika again this year, but I fancied a change, we're trying lanzarote.
