We are probably too biased to give a balanced choice of the resorts as we have been travelling to Lindos for 14 years now. It is the only place have ever been to more than once. 3 great beaches for the day and about 40 bars and a similar number of restaurants for the night all within a 10 minute walk catering for whatever mood takes you.

We stayed in Pefkos two year ago and loved it. It has a more relaxed atmosphere than Lindos, only because there is not so many day trippers I suppose.

Lots of lovely eating places and some nice bars too. Lindos is wonderful too, I did find it hotter than Pefkos even though it is only along the road.

Which ever resort you decide on its only five minutes along the road in a taxi to the other resort.

Try the "friends of Pefkos" website, can't remember the exact address but if you do a google search you will find it no problem at all.

Hi Donna were booked into the the Finas Apartment in Pefkos for 2 weeks at the end of september/beginning of october. I've not been before so i cant really give a valid piont of view but from what I know Pefkos seems quite laid back but lindo is only a few euro's taxi ride away and can be quite busy at night So it seems it the best of both worlds

I'd definitely say Lindos but again another biased opinion as i've been going regularly since i hit 20!
Lindos has much more character and charm whereas Pefkos is very much a purpose built tourist resort. True, Lindos does get alot of daytrippers but if you're down the beach or by a pool during the day then it doesn't really bother you. Lindos by night has a fantastic atmosphere - romantic nights or falling off the bar stool nights you're spoilt for choice!
As people have said it's a very short distance between the two anyway.

Thanks everyone, we've booked Pefkos as availability in Lindos was limited, could only get places described as "only 2km from Lindos".... not good in my heels
We've gone for studios in the centre of Pefkos as a compromise, thinking a short walk to the taxi rank instead

Where did you book in Pefkos?
We went there last year , it was beautiful.Easy to get to Lindos or Lardos in a taxi and loads of great places to eat out -never had a bad meal in 14 nights.Plenty of bars to choose from , the friends of Pefkos website is very good.[/url]
