Hi
Just about to begin a couple of inspection trips (not sure if this is the way to do it)
Been out on our own to costa blanca for a look see but felt the options were so immense we needed an agent to help out.
Going with medsea one week followed by houseonthecostablanca (one word) a week later.
Feeing a bit nervous about the process. Medsea seem quite laid back with no mention of banks and mortgages but the other is suggesting a period of time is spent looking at banks and morgages, which seems Ok and sensible.
Any thoughts or advice
Also, what is the usual offer to make, how and when. i am again nervous about buying there and then and would prefer time to mull it over.
I am serious about buying but dont want to get ripped off (who does??)
cheers for any advice experiences or suggestions
David
I don't think inspection trips are a good idea, they only show you what they want you to see and often are selling the property at a higher price than some other agents. Have a browse around this forum there are many topics about this. Its better to have a look around yourself and also look at an area at different times of the day.
If you do go ahead don't rush into any decision whilst you are there, wait until you get home...remember its a buyers market, whatever the agents may say.

I used Medsea they were not pushy at all.
Fully agree with jacky quite oftern you can find the same property in an estate agents window for a lot lower price.
Remember you have the controling hand, I personelly would not buy a property you way, yes use there service to look around and make notes of where, what, why, and when then do a visit of the estate agents because quite oftern you will find the house that you want not the house the agent is trying to sell you.
Hope you enjoy your trip but proceed whit caution.

Thanks for the advice. I have to say when I have looked property selling without an agent there doesnt seem to be any difference. Admittedly they are only asking prices but seem comparable when you look at private ads on local costa newspapers and magzines.
Same here http://www.wherepropertysells.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1 where prices seem comparable if not more than medsea for example.
Funny old world
Thanks a lot and will probably use trips for more info gathering.
