I have just heard that the Peacock Pub, the Pub next door and the Thai Restaurant opposite have all been sold to some rich Bombay guy and that possibly he might be going to build shops in their place, (like we need more shops in Candolim) I am really disapointed as we love that Thai restaurant and the great ambience in the garden there, i am really surprised to as they havent been open there that long and the people from the Peacock weren't intending to sell as far as i know as they had already booked some friends of mine to do the disco next season,

I was to have stayed at the Seaside/Surfside in October but was told about 6 weeks ago that it was to be demolished. No-one said anything in March and April when i was there. I also heard that the Magnum resort was for sale!!
Really??!! what on earth is happening out there??! its madness all this devellopment

Chilly - I've heard that the Thai restaurant has moved up to The Mira Hotel in Calangute. The Surfside/Seaside Rendezvous is to be a boutique hotel, not shops. Folks from Peacock are looking round for another bar, so I've heard.
