Yes, most things are priced in euros ,but only because there are so many nationalities. The Turks prefer Lira and as i said if you chop and change between euros ,lira and sterling you will lose out in the long run.Change Sterling to lira and stick to that.Make sure all your english notes are not torn or have been written on as they will not except them.

We took £100 pound in lira and use sterling for the rest of the holiday we got 2.5 to the pound.

i never wore trousers at all. i just wore shorts at all meal times and in the ala carte. I did not see any notice telling you what to wear. There where russians in speados at tea time in the buffet. so just wear what you want.Just dont b over weight with your bags on the flight.

There is a notice outside the dining room telling you the dress code ,some people flaunt it ,but i have seen plenty refused admission wearing beach shorts at dinner .

thanks i think he will take apair of trousers just in case just changed some money got 2,50 lira to the pound do not know if thats good or bad thanks Janet
Thats a great rate ,as good as you will get in Turkey .I just checked on the Central bank of Turkey website and it is round about 2.47/8.
The tousers remind me of ia guy i met at the Susesi Hotel Belek in July .He arrived without long trousers and when he saw the dresscode outside the dining room he rushed into Belek town to buy some .He had never been in Turkey before so did not know about haggling .He took eighty quid with him ,went into the first shop he saw and asked for trousers ,the guy in the shop said certainly sir what kind of price ,he replied around eighty pounds ,the guy in the shop showed him a pair and said this is the only pair in that price range ,he bought them .After leaving the shop he discovered he had no money to get the tractor back to the hotel .He went back into the shop and told the guy he had no money ,straight away he gave him his fare back on the tractor .I.5L There in lies the lesson.
