I did it in 2009. It is easy to do.

I caught the ferry on friday over to Rhodes, hired a car from Rhodes Town and stayed in Pefkos until the monday morning. Unfortunately, after I'd booked it all, they added the tuesday night (Floyd night) as a tribute to Rick Wright so I missed Floyd. No issues going in and out of Turkey/Greece and your initial entry visa into Turkey is valid for 90 days so covers you when you return to Turkey.
