Thanks
Can only explain them as looking as if they are built into the property as a fixture you can't move them and you can't look under them if you can understand what I mean.Where we usually stay has them and if my missus is in bed, to get on my bed I have get on it from the end of the bed.

So would I be right in saying they are single beds which cannot be pushed together, and nothing can be stored beneath them. I hope I don't sound stupid but I've never heard of them before!
I think they're made of concrete and a few of them have a couple of steps leading up to them. At least that's what they look like in the brochure.
Yes Helen you would be right in thinking that they cannot be pushed together but there may be storage underneath if there are steps up to the bed. In some properties they put a small cupboard under the raised platform....and that is what they are, a platform base on a slightly raised level with a mattress placed on top.
As explained a Lindian style bed is a platform, sometimes wooden, sometimes concrete and some do have storage underneath.
Usually it will be two mattresses on the one platform, so while the platform can't be moved you can push the two mattresses together quite easily.

sometimes it just gives that little bit extra space in the room - well that's my story and I'm sticking to it
