The prices of excursions are most reasonable, and if you book through your Rep you can rely on being properly insured and looked after, and having an English speaking guide.

I advise u not booking excursions in the hotel because there the prices are much more higher...You'd better go to some tourist office and book there.For example,"Khan's Tent",the best restaurant in Sunny beach,in the offices u can book it for about 55lv and from the hotel it is like 65-70lv!

That advice may be fine for something like Khans tent but for other excursions booked from operators on the street you are likely to be in a multi-national party speaking several languages and by the time the courier gets round to your language you are way past the point of interest.

This has happened to us and in fact, never got around to English, so bad it was that the German members of the group were complaining on our behalf.

We endured this on an 18 hour excursion from Golden Sands to Veliko Tarnova. Had we not been able to understand Cyrillic we would have been on a real mystery tour at least we could read the road signs.
