I don't see why not. I normally take my own sandwiches on flights but I never fly Ryan air so maybe they are different.
No probs taking your own sandwiches on Ryanair, and considering their current 'menu', probably a very wise move!
Security won't be interested in sandwiches but don't try to take any drinks through.
Given Ryanairs openly stated aim to fly people for virtually nothing and make the profit from add ons it's probably only a matter of time before they do try to ban it.

hi.susan.returned home yesterday after flying with ryanair and we took and ate our own sandwiches on board the flight with no problems.....

I find their snack pack which is £3 to be good value for money. Helps that I love biscuits and cheese.
