Thanks Robby, will pass the info on. Cheers Jayjan
Be aware that Albufeira station is 6km/4 miles from town, so unless you are being picked up you need to add €8 - €10 for a taxi into town or €1.80 if you are brave enough to wait for a bus - the last one of which leaves at 8.20pm.
Thanks Cubsur, I did know that the station is on the outskirts at ferreiras, I have told my friends it would be a taxi ride into Albufeira. Cheers Jayjan
One warning, the ticket office at Entrecampos is hopelessly inadequate so if you can't use the machines you'd better get there early! All the trains also serve Oriente station a few minutes earlier. Oriente has several somewhat hidden ticket offices but if you can find them there may be no queues.
Tickets can be bought in advance from a variety of sources and as the Algarve trains get busy it is recommended, see http://www.cp.pt/cp/displayPage.do?vgnextoid=9b17f9e12a584010VgnVCM1000007b01a8c0RCRD . The option to use Multibanco ATMs is worth noting.
