The meat is usually lamb or beef though some hotels also do serve pork (the chef having special dispensation from the Imam to cook it). If it not immediately clear what the meat is, simply ask and someone will tell you.
Incidentally I've just had a look at Accuweather and perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to be really British and take an umbrella with you.
There does seem the possibility of thunder storms and, believe me, when it rains in Tunisia it really rains.
Having said that, they were promising rain last week and we didn't have a drop, in fact it was beautiful during the day, though a bit chilly in the evenings.

Don't worry, I've just had another look at Accuweather and it seems that from Wednesday it should be absolutely beautiful.
