The Gumbet Cove is right on the beach and it's at what I think is the best side of Gumbet. It's well away from the noise and bustle but only a short walk into it. We like Cheers/Mascot bar/restaurant which isn't far from the Gumbet Cove. You can have a meal there or just go in for a drink. The staff are brilliant with kids too - they'll happily look after them while you get your meal in piece. Other good restaurants are Chinatown, Nacho Nanas - too many to mention, we've never had a bad meal in Gumbet. We love the place and are going over in a couple of weeks to look to buy a house there.
Just one word of caution, it will be very hot in July - take plenty of suncream and drink plenty of water.
Any more questions, just ask.

Don't know about the apts your going to stay in but my husband,sister-in-law, brother-in-law and myself went to gumbet last september to the jasmin beach apts and it was a fantastic place to be. Gumbet it's self is a great town with lots of shops and has great access to the beach and resturants.
the dolmus takes and drops you off where ever you like and is a great way to see the place. Head into Bodrum as it's also a good for shopping and has a good market where you can do your haggling, remember to take sterling with you as you can get alot of bargins for it.
I fly back out nexy month as part of a large family group of 6 adults and 8 kids where we are all staying at club bozok that i don't know alot about but the turkish people and food are brill anyway and i'm sure to enjoy anyway. enjoy your holiday to gumbet, you'll love it.
