The Sunrise Resort is not in Side but 15kms to the east near Manavgat It is the Sunrise Queen which is in Side near to the Hemera which is an excellent hotel and is no 1 on Trip advisor.If you Google Sunrise Resort there are links to reviews.I would certainly book the Hemera if the price is the same.I would go back to the Hemera tomorrow but its fully booked this year.

Thanks i'm thinking the same way too, i've done some research on the sunrise and its called Sunrise park resort(formally sunrise holiday village) and it is definately in Side, not sure if its new. :-

A lot of hotels are advertised as being in Side but they are NOT.They are in Manavgat which is 15kms away.I have found a good price for a hotel named the Justinano Wish with good reviews but it is near the Sunrise holiday village,although it was advertised as being in Side.Look on Google earth for Side,then go eastwards along the coast until you come to where the river comes out into the sea,continue along the beach until you come to the start of the next lot of hotels and the Sunrise is the 6th hotel along.There are some photos from 2005.Its in an area called Kizilagac,definitely not in Side!.

we was looking at the sunrise resort for 2009 but decided on 2 weeks at the melas resort hotel in side for 2009 instead

The Melas is next door to the Hemera in Side and looks lovely.

I think i'll have a look a the Melas as well. at least i know i don't want the sunrise.
Do you know which holiday company does it?

Well bang goes me going to the Hemera, all the holiday's for the 2 bed appt shown online for 13/8/09 are sold out.
It comes up online with the price/flights etc but then doesn't let you book, been to the shop as well and they said the same thing.

Talk about get your hopes up.

Try Direct holidays for the Hemera in 2009 as they had deals a couple of weeks ago which were cheaper than Thomas Cook.

Thanks Jay Trip but i already tried them and they had no 2 bed appts and i wanted us all in the same room and next year i'm restricted with dates cause of hubbys work.
Never mind i think we're gonna leave it for next year and book for 2010 on the first day the holidays come out, i think thats the only way i'm gonna get what i want.

Oh jo that is a shame .Those apartments do seem to go quick . Are you restricted to a particular date of the holidays as you my find just changing the airport or another date could get you want you want.

that is a shame but they do go quick the melas has 2 bedroom appartments as well as hotel rooms we have booked 2 hotel rooms
