I discovered this site that sells cover for Scheduled flights for £5 a seat.

Anyone travelling independently and without ABTA or ATOL cover should consider this.
I've taken it out to cover our flights to Lanzarote for next summer.
Well worth the £5 premium in the current climate IMHO.
You should certainly make sure you have cover from somewhere but at £5 a seat I would have spent £40 so far this year and my Marks & Spencer European Annual Policy only cost £58 and included SAF as well as all the medical cover etc.
That's great but most holiday insurance doesn't include SAFI, especially single trip insurance.
At least you're covered.
At least you're covered.
Now all you have to do is worry that the insurance company does go bust!
Well at a fiver it's worth the risk IMHO
I tried to take this out and found out they no longer protect Globespan flights!
I read in the Daily Mail an article on Flights etc. It said that Trailfinders have a system that covers Airline failure. I was pleased to hear this as I have flights booked in 5 weeks time made through them. My flight is with Singapore Airlines so don't think they will fail but it is added reassurance also booked using credit card and they make no charge for this.
I have used them in the past without problem and this time all is well with ticketing etc.
