sorry probley on here somewhere,
any way if you go on one of these parking at airports and they take your keys whilst your away, how do you stand with your insurance say your car goes missing

Ask the individual car park for a copy of their policy, and check your own. Policies vary in their cover, terms and conditions. If it's not clear, speak to your insurers' for their answer. They might want to see the cover the car park provides.
A woolly answer here from one agent for airport carparking, that seems to bear out that you really need to check this out and it will vary what the individual car parks' insurance will cover

Only just spotted this, but when we decided to take the cars to the airport, I queried with my insurance company and was told I had to notify my insurance companies that the cars were being kept at the airport for the week, rather than at home. They then covered us with no extra charge.
All fine from that front, however it miffed off the cars as they both refused to start on our return and played up ever afterwards resulting in premature scrapping in both cases.

Well thats certainly made me think . We usually use APH and they do take your keys from you . Cant say Ive ever given this a thought before and Ive never checked or told my insurance company . Looks like I will be making a couple of phone calls.
