Dear All
I hope you can help me with something really trivial. i was in an Irish Bar yesterday in Torremolinos and I wanted to know the name and address of the bar. It was a main road with a bus stop with buses going to Benalmadena & Funegerola, there was a largeish shopping complex next to the bus stop with steps to the upstairs part which was shops and there was a big Irish place downstairs which was closed, it had loads of adverts outside. I then walked about a hundred yards and there was a kiosk selling newspapers etc. It was on the left there on the corner and there was a little alley to the right of it with steps, it had an illuminated rudolph in the window and obviously Xmas lights etc. it had a pool table in it. I came out of there and turned left and first right down a pedestrian street and there was a tabac on the left at the bottom. The road sort of run parallel with the square the station is on.
I hope someone can help, I know it's really trivial but the staff made me feel so welcome as I was on my own and I would love to send them a christmas card.
Many thanks
Jo
The Irish bar/disco down some steps with adverts outside right by the bus stop/kiosk is Holly Fitzsimons (sp) Plaza Costa del Sol, Ave Palma de Mallorca.. The other place with a pool table is Baileys Bar.Not sure of adress of this one, Ill have to check. Here it is. Passage Dona Maria Barrabino, Plaza De la Independencia.

Sounds like Baileys to me.The bar on your right as you go in, not that large inside with pool table and plasma screens showing MTV sport etc. Comandante Gallopino(Galloping Major) next door.Dont think its this one.And others on opposite side arent Irish theme, unless they have opened another since I was in the area.
But looking again at your description of where you were,Tabacco shop on left/pedestrian street, sounds like San Miguel street.Trying to think of Irish bars on that side.Opposite side to Springfield shop.Aguila Mike, where are you, do you know of it.
There is a Irish theme bar in Ave Isabel Manoja called the Harp but it doesnt fit your directions.
Give the Bailey Bar a ring see if they can help. Try these numbers 0034 952 389 754 or 0034 952 051 899.
Or have a look at http://www.el-nogal.com click on pubs and see if the photos ring a bell.

No definately not Baileys, I'll start again with what I know:
It's on the same side as Hollies, just past Springfields, if your looking at Springfields it's on the end on right corner. there is an alleyway running up the right hand side of it with some shallow steps, you can see a newspaper kiosk from the bar.
If you come out of the pub (witht he pub entrance behind you) and look left there is a pedestrain street and at the bottom left of that street there is a Tabac. The pub itself has plasma screens showing music, football etc. a pool table and about 20 tables, they don't (or didn't when i was there ) serve food. The ladies and gents are at the back of the pub and there is an illuminated reindeer in the window. They also have a sandwich board outside with a timetable of football matches.
My memory is fading about the Irish theme and I now can't be 100% certain that it is but ir's definately British or Scottish if it's not Irish.
Hope all this helps and thank you so much for your continued efforts, I am really grateful.
