If someone has been on a two centre, would like your views on where you went. We are not tied to a particular place
Stewartwilkie has very kindly given you his ideas for lots of 2 centre holidays, and asked you for a bit of info to help you get more.
Maybe you could respond to that post?
I've been on several 2 centre holidays but am not going to write a lengthy post unless you narrow it down a bit.

maybe Spain, Portugal, Italy areas
I've had a very good 2 centre in Italy. We flew to Venice and spent 2 nights there, then drove 3 hours north to the Dolomite mountains. We spent a week chilling and walking - if you picture the meadows and mountains in the Sound of Music you've got it. This was in June so it was warm but not too hot.
Is this the sort of thing you were thinking about?

husband fancies Venice but unfortunately don't drive abroad,
There are trains, buses or perhaps the hotel you choose will fetch you, as did ours.
Multiple destination is really a good idea. You may also take some car rental services if there's any. Though taking a bus or a train could be cheaper.
If you are considering Italy, perhaps you might decide to investigate the 'Kilometrico' ticket that has to be bought in the UK before you travel (because it doesn't get sold on the Italian domestic market) which allows up to 6 people 2000 km of travel on Italian State Railways for a fixed price. That way you could fly with point to point airlines into and out of Italy from different airports and use the train for getting to the places you want to holiday in et UK-Venice, train Venice-Amalfi coast, train from Amalfi coast (eg Sorrento) to an airport where you can fly back to the UK ... you could even use different low cost carriers in combination!
Wish we had confidence to do those sort of thinks. Afraid we need to do tour operator
I'll second Bridds idea of the Dolomites, I've seen it "two centred" with Venice somewhere, try the Mountains and Lakes type brochures from Inghams/ Crystal etc. Transfers are arranged, either coach or taxi.
For Portugal I've done Lisbon+Algarve DIY and I've seen that in brochures as well, usually with coach transfer but could be train.
I'd always do the city part first, you appreciate the relaxing bit more that way!
