hi i'm so excited jsut booked le meridien mina seyahi beach for 5 nights 22/4 for my 40th birthday present from husband and 2 children can anyone tell me what prices to expect to pay for food and other things like jewellery and clothes
thanks in advance
We stayed there in 2007 and are going back this year.
In the hotel the drinks prices are really expensive - £2 for a coke at the bar or in the mini bar in your room. We went to the Kempinski Mall and got 6 for 50p in the supermarket. Then put them in the mini bar.
But we ate in the hotel every evening. it was £25 a head for food and drinks - buffet. We could eat and drink as much as we wanted and the food was fab.
Depend where you shop - all british high street shops are there. We found that the prices were similar to british prices.
Hope you have a fab time.

We are just back from Dubai last week. I hate to say this but we found Dubai quite expensive this time, compared to last February, due to the very poor exchange rate. Most things we looked at to buy were definitely cheaper to buy in the UK. A glass of wine in our hotel worked out at around £10 and a glass of beer around £7. Last Feb the exchange rate was around 7.50 to the £. This time it is around 5DHS to the £.
If you know certain things you may want to buy before you go, check the prices in the UK before you go. It was the DSF (Dubai Shopping Festival) whilst we were there and all the shops had sales on however even in the sale things were more expensive.
Eating out in the Malls you can usually find something to suit all tastes and budgets.
