Hi All
Not long to go now, 8 days and counting !!!!!!! Yee Haa
Heading to Cala Llonga, but am partial to a wee drink of Gin, I know years ago the prices of bottles of spirits in the supermarkets were a lot cheaper than the duty free ( not that we get much duty free now )
Does anyone know what you would pay for a bottle of Gordons, or the equivalent, oh and yes my other half is shouting how much would the scottish whiskey be
Jenn
No idea of price but don't forget that any liquids have to be packed in your suitcase for your journey home, saw quite a few people have bottles of spirits taken off them at security at Ibiza airport in May.
hi we were in cala llonga last year - as you arrive coming down the main rd into the resort, on your right you'll see a liquor store(first place of any interest i spotted oddly enough lol:) anyway this was the cheapest place i found in the area - downed a fair amount on our balcony too - just as well they've got railings - anyway i was getting a litre of smirnoff for around 10 euros and i'm also partial to a drop of scotch myself and saw many offers on scotch and a very good selection for a small resort shop - some very good offers in there!
Cans of beer etc were also very cheap - there's nothing at all wrong with lounging on the balcony gettin ratted in the sun - enjoy yourselves that's the main thing - by the way if you fancy a few out then try mr cairos - just a little further down from the liquor store on opp side up the steps - entertainment not bad, the only bar open late (ish) till about 2am and some good happy hours and offers on drinks.
Hope this helps a little
Ave a good one

Really don't think it is worth bringing back booze from your holidays anymore when you can get it more or less the same price as back home. A few bottles can make a difference to your luggage allowance so if you are just 1 kilo over, it will cost you 10 euros so even if it costs a few euros less by buying in the resort, you will lose the savings at the airport!
Buying on board on your return flight is probably best but still no major savings.
As far as a wee tipple on your balcony - a bottle of gin and a bottle of whisky shouldn't cost more than 10 euros each - probably the same for two glasses plus tip in a 5 star hotel!
Make the most of it Jenn - hope you have a fantastic time!
