May seem really stupid, but can anyone tell me where i may be able to get hold of soya milk in Candolim area.
My husband has developed a lactose intolerance so soya milk is needed for tea/coffee etc.
I'm sure the shops must sell it but can't remember seeing any-not that i've been looking in the past!
If anyone can point me in the right direction i'd be grateful.
Thanks
Have made a few enquiries for you,on the way towards Calangute (from Candolim) there are a few very well stocked supermarkets these i have been told do stock soya milk.It is however mainly stocked for expectant mothers, you may have to go in one of these and ask for it to be ordered every day - don't think that will be a problem to them.
I have also been informed that around the Calangute and Baga area there are some 'health' stores (some run by hippies) that make all kinds of soya products, could be worth a visit.
Is the soya milk just for tea/coffee? if so I am sure it is available in powdered form in this country ?
Eitherway i think you will be safe to purchase in one of the supermarkets.

Thought somewhere would offer soya milk-would seem a bit strange if nowhere did knowing what some of these health stores are like!
Will take out a couple of cartons to get started with and check everything out when we get there.
Thanks

Hi everyone
As a vegan, it's good to know soya milk is avilable, as well as other soya products from health stores.
Any other vegans been to Goa? I'm just curious to know as to how I'll get on.... I imagine I'll be fine at some of the Indian and Chinese restaurants. Any recommendations?
Thanks.

I travelled with a vegan friend in Goa, no problems at all, I even developed a taste for veggie food too , I was pleasantly suprised
