Just curious really, as when we arrived in El Gouna we were amazed to see the amount of private cars parked outside the Movenpick, clearly not hire cars as all were different makes/types/colours/ etc.
I wondered if folk had driven from Cairo to spend the weekend - 450 odd miles each way
The hotel was definatly full as we couldn't get the exact rooms we requested so got upgraded to a suite for a night, which was very swish and swanky.
After breakfast on Monday the hotel kind of emptied out and then seemed to be only 60% full. Being nosey I would love to know.

hat would explain why all the staff kept wishing me Happy Easter & why there was a special Easter gala brunch on Sunday 14th April & it included a chocolate egg. There was also a lot of painted boiled eggs at breakfast.
When DH went to settle up on the last morning, he told the manager what a lovely time we had spent and that we would probably be back & he offered us a complimentary late check out till 2.30pm.
