Hi we stayed in this hotel last year and really enjoyed it theres lot for the kids to do its a big complex but you will never get bored so dont worry just enjoy it hope you have a nice time we went in May 2003 and the weather was lovely we also enjoyed the food in the Marte rather than the jupitor it can get a bit crowded some times but it is nice in the Marte restaruart there make fresh pizza everyday and its lovely i myself didnt like the breakfast as ive had much better but thats only one little gripe i had but saying that we have stayed in the Lagomonte which is also all inclusive and it 50% better than the Marte we have been to Lagomonte 4 times now it is lovely not as big as the Marte but the food is much better the entertainment is roughtly the same hope you enjoy it anyway whatever you decide but my choice would be Lagamonte if you could change over
Hi,
A running track? Hmm, there is a leisure centre nr by but im not sure if it has a running track. If he wants someone where nice to run/job then he could go to the nature reserve which is about 5 miles away.
The marte is great as long as u like big holidays, everything is on quite a big scale at the marte. Some people dont like it as it can be a bit crazy, there are so many people but most people love it as its got a great atmosphere and there is always something on.
Hope that helps

Hi everyone we go away to the club Marte on the 21st of this month. I have read a very mixed bag on this hotel Its AI and shares facilities with the Jupiter/Saturno.
I am going with a view of we will make the most of it. A lot of the reports are oldish so a few new ones would be fab.
Does anyone out there know of any gym facilities in the other two hotels I know there are none in the Marte.
How far is it to walk from hotel to Alcudia centre??
Mant thanks....

we stayed in the marte and then again in the jupiter because we liked it so much as far as i no there is no gym and the walk to the centre is about 10mins but there is a bus which can take you to the beach from outside the hotel its great for kids too with about 8 swimming pools its a very big complex and the evening entertainment is shown in the jupiter as well as the marte but the marte is in several different languages so we sat by the jupiter it can get very busy during peak season and you have to go early to get a seat to watch the entertainmentlast time we stayed in the jupiter the biggest of the 3 and watch the entertainment on the night from our balcony as we found we could not get seat as it was to busy hope this helps have a great time
Thanks for that, can I ask did you have problems getting sun loungers on a morning??
A friend of a friend said there is a friut kiosk during the day is that correct and what was it like??
Many Thanks.....

we stayed at the saturno last year the hotels are spotless the food was nice but its very busy need to arrive early for every thing the 15 min walk to beach is worth the beach was lovely and the water park opposite the hotel was good fun hope this helps have fun
Just wondering if anyone could tell me if you only get 2 beds in this hotel's rooms? I've read that in some other hotels, you get 2 double beds and if there are more than 2 people sharing the room, you are expected to share beds. I've seen the hotel reviews and nobody seems to mention this.
I have 2 teenage children and obviously sharing beds is NOT an option for us!

you would have to find out the room type you have booked, there are various room s available, bed sharing wouldnt be an option unless both childrens ages total to 11 years old
We have stayed there in the past. One time we had bunk beds for the kids, and the other time it was 2 double beds, which they were horrified about at first, but since they were both boys age 12 and 8 they soon got used to it! At least in the hot weather they didn't have to snuggle under any covers together!
However, I agree if you've got 2 teenagers, they won't be so happy.
Would it cost a lot more to get 2 separate rooms? I guess if they're teenagers you're not paying child rate anyway? Might be worth pricing it up.
Otherwise I don't know if there's any way of ensuring your room has bunk beds for them. Perhaps somebody else will have some ideas.

My son will be 16 and my daughter will be 13 at the time we plan to travel. There will be just the 3 of us, and my daughter will count as a child, because the Marte's pricing gives child discount/free child up to age 14. So separate rooms are not an option either!
I haven't booked yet, just looking at the very few hotels that give child discount up to age 14-15 on AI/HB. Self Catering places give child discount up to 16, but it would cost us more with under-occupancy supplements!

No, it's not worth getting 2 rooms if your daughter counts as a child.
I guess you'll have to share a bed with her if the worst comes to the worst.
But with any luck, after the first night or two settling in, she'll be so tired from spending all day in the lovely pools there, and discoing in the evening, and happy to be on holiday, that she (and you???) won't mind!

hi
we stayed at the marte 2years ago first two weeks in august and never again.the hotels were fully booked and offering you a villa out of town.the rooms wee very nice but the problems were having to get up around 8 in morning if you wanted a sunbed, then getting ready for the night around 5 to get supper and wait for night entertainment to start,if you dident get a seat before 7 you won't get one just not enough seats for the amount of people on the complex.lifts a nightmare to work while we were there a lady stuck in them for nearly 1 1/2 hours.but i must point out the whole of the complex was spotless

We are going on the 11th june - booked through cosmos - called them today as we had booked a room with a double bed & bunk beds - wanted to confirm before we went - what a nightmare - had two double beds booked for us - im sure my 12 year old daughter and 9 year old son would be well happy with that
- I have sorted it now and been advised that the majority going through cosmos will be staying in the Jupiter hotel, would not say why but i would think it has something to do with the refurb at the Saturno - i will let you know what its like on my return.
Hi Wully
We will be there from the 9th of July for a week. We`re staying at the Jupiter, stayed there twice before and the Saturno once before. As has been said before it is a very busy place though we went in the August peak season on our previous visits.
Sorry to say we are one of those who nip down between 5/6am to put the towels out, quite simply if we don`t somebody else will and does.I must say I have seen people putting em out at 1.00am before they go to bed
As for finding seats in the Jupiter stage area in the evening yes it isn`t easy but we went across to the Saturno stage or for a drink in the Marte if we had any problems,or just hang about and watch for people leaving seats, you usually don`t have to wait for too long for too long with that option especially in the Jupiter bar area.
The food is very good with plenty of variation and very clean restaurants.
Have fun
Tony
