have always been wary of cows and this has just reafirmed what I believe of them

Any animal with young to protect can turn very aggressive if they think they are being threatened. Cow, pigs sheep etc. Young bullocks and heifers being just kids get very excited very easily and if in a group tend to crowd around or run after you. If you slip and fall then you have had it.

Cows do not like dogs, they do not like dogs on leads. They do not recognise a person on the end of the lead they just see a hated dog. Better to walk thro cows with well trained dog at heel not on lead. Cows are fairly curious and may follow a person round about milking time, very early 4am or 4/5pm
