Sadly I don't think I'll be going to Goa for a while. It's lost it's magic for me. Time to try elsewhere in India.

This is my first time in 4 years and as a package tourist rather than a backpacker and i must admit I am a bit daunted by it all, I bet it has really changed If it is a possibility for you , I would recommend you try the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, pure beauty, but summer time only

I've been told that Kerala is relatively unspoiled and quiet.

If you haven't been to Goa for 4 years you are in for a surprise!

The main change is Candolim/Calangute/Baga not so much Anjuna/Morjim/Asvem etc.

It still is possible to find a quiet spot but be prepared to search it out.
