Got back on Friday after a wonderful week. Was there with a friend who had never been to Turkey before and was a bit nervous around whether or not she would like it. Should have known - she loved it! Stayed at Club Turquoise where I have stayed before. Really nice apartment overlooking the pool although I have to say I felt the furnishings etc were looking just a wee bit tired since last time I was there 2 years ago. Staff all brilliant as usual. Ate at the Garden (thanks for the tip Wilson) beautifyl meal and excellent service, also tired Le Madri ( down to you again Wilson!) the guys on the guitars were great although I food the food average. Best restaurant we ate in for me was Neighbours at the Marina end. Used by locals and more turkish than a lot of the places we found it fabulous food and excellent value. Did 2 lazy day boat trips - always love these. Didn't manage a gulet trip though, that will have to wait till next time.
2 trips to Icmeler. Much prefer the beach there. Met the guys from the Blue Diving School boat and they made our holiday...Yaheya, Sezar and Levante. They took us to Bar Street to Sofra retaurant and sat talking for hours on the boat into the wee small hours. Many wonderful memories....... Only downside as usual was having to come home but then there's always next time to look forward to....
