Need advice on were to stay next year , been to Zante twice and Corfu twice this year , want to try somewere new , any reccomendations , need a good shallow beach thats good for snorkelling , not too busy ( not into laganas or faliraki type places) anyone got any good places to try , been looking at Skiathos or Kefalonia , or if anyone can reccomend would be greatful, cheers Jan

Kefalonia. Mounda beach, near Skala, is lovely golden sand and sea not too deep for quite a way, great for children as well. Also quiet, there`s only a hotel and medium sized apartment complex there, plus a small cafe/bar just off the beach. It`s about 5 minutes by car from Skala, about 40 minutes if you`re walking.

Have you looked at Paxos Jan? If you like Zante and Corfu, I should think Paxos would be right up your street. It's like a smaller, more laidback version of Corfu and has fantastic snorkelling.

I agree about Paxos....be warned though...it is addictive!

I'm off to Patmos, possibly Lipsi and Leros tonight :hyper

and I think the Patmos snorkelling is supposed to be excellent - I'll report back in a fortnight!

THE Best snorkelling in the world is without doubt the Carribean.

You could however try Lindos on the island of Rhodes with its clear blue waters and lots of rocky outcrops set in area of outstanding beauty.
