I have just had an email with an offer of long term stay at a guest house in Anjuna, I have no knowledge of Anjuna except it was the hippy home in the 60s.
Anyone been there recently? Any input would be appreciated. Is it still V and peace brother? Do I need to take my guitar and flower power shirts?
Lez
Oh yes it is R6000/month
Perfect Lezlie! I have hi-jacked your thread and changed the title. Its time we had a thread about this resort!
Hi Lez, Not sure staying in Anjuna would be your cup of tea, knowing what a gregarious bloke you are! Not sure if there is much to do up there except on Wednesdays of course, think of you as more of a Calangute/Candolim occasional Baga patron, Ha!
Hi Johnny.
I'm going schedule so I am looking at different places, I asked in here about Anjuna because on the net all you get is milk and honey sites, thinking somony will come along ant give me a better view.
I only went to Baga once and took an instant dislike to the place, probably wrong probably sober probably go back again.
I'm out long stay that is why I was looking at Anjuna @R200/night so I could stay longer
There is not a chance in Hell you would see me in a hippy market

i wouldn't go to Anjuna if you don't like hippy types, the place is heaving with them. In fact anywhere north of Anjuna is hippy territory also.
Mind you, people don't get shafted to the same extent as the package holiday makers do south of Baga. If you want a typical punter holiday go to Calangute or Candolim. Martin
