Hi Everyone who reads this. i am Karan and i will be landing in goa on the 29th Dec 06. we are 6 people ready to rock n roll but our ride has hit a bump as we havent yet booked any hotel or shacks. i would request to anyone and everyone who is in goa right please see for any hotel which charges less than 700 Rs for a normal room (after all, all u need is a bed to sleep in the daytime and Enjoy the night life) or i have heard the coco huts or shacks are good options too. please please please help me out.

You need to get something booked pretty quickly - New Year is always very busy and never enough rooms available. I think yo'll be lucky to find a room for 700 per night at that time of year.
my advice would be to do a search on the Internet.

thanks a lot for the advise but everything seems so expensive right now that i just cant think of anything but renting an appartment for minimum
