We love going on the bus's there great fun in the South we go from Cavalossim to Benaulim for 7 rps and tend to get a tuk tuk back for 100

We get the bus to Mapsua from Apora every year, and get a taxi back great fun. Does anybody know if there are buses to Cavolessim or Mobor and if so whats the journey like, and how long does it take... thanks Keith
You would have to get a bus to Margao then onto Cavelossim. Margao to Cavelossim costs 7 or 8 rps and takes about 45 mins by bus.
The panjim to mapusa bus is non stop all seated and takes 1 hour its really great and costs 15rps instead of 800rps taxi We went by bus almost evrywhere last jan and will do so again this coming jan not just the price but the people you meet on the buses and the villages you go through make it priceless

We got a bus back from the beach one day. It looked like it had been made up from SEVERAL other buses
There was even a metal 'patched' hole in the floor where it had worn out!!
Love the little seat behind the driver 'for women only'
Shared the bus with a basket of live chickens too
i couldnt agree more getting the bus is brilliant fun they even have hindi music playing sometimes hilarious and creates such an atmosphere . and yes!!! sooo cheap!!
