Thanks Tjeerd. I think if I had booked with a big site like holiday rental it would not bother me but with my over active imagination I'm terrified that I pay over my money to someone I don't know and turn up and there will be no apartment. it just that there seems to be a big element of trust in this set up both from the renters perspective and the owners as they haven't a clue who they are letting into their apartments.

Anyway I'm sure it will be fine and I will post and let ye know if spainrentasite are good to use.
