having gone to bugaria looking for property the property agent booked my wife and i into the PLISKA hotel in sofia. the hotel is one to be avoided if possible. the bed was very soft so very old. there was 1 drawer and no coat hooks in the wardrobe. the room was not very clean, and we found an old water bottle down the side of the bed, so god knows when it was last pulled out to be cleaned. the breakfast was ok, if you could find a bowl for cereal, or cuttlery for anything else, all the plates and cups seemed to be chipped or cracked, the restaurant carpeting was filthy. food and drink prices changed on a daily basis (according to which member of staff was on duty, sometimes blatent lies as to why). best comment i can think of is, cheap and nasty. we were told it was a 3 star hotel, but then told by a bulgarian there was a notice on the main door saying it was now 1 star. marks out of 10 would be 3.
