Arrived back from this hotel yesterday, great hotel but the food choice is the worse i have ever encounted, first time i have been in an hotel and had to eat out, will post my review in the next few days.

The food did not go with the main course ie battered cod no chips, pie no chips. The vegetables were swimming in oil. I dont think there was enough choice, nothing at all for children. I put up with it the first week but the second week got worse, the meat was often raw inside and the food served was cold, i had to warm what i did eat up in the microwave. A real shame as everything else about the hotel was good.

We have just booked to stay in the nereo this year we have already stayed in the calypso,sol ocas,rosamar,ambassador & lido we have heard some good reports & we also wanted to know if men have to wear long pants for evening meal or will 3/4 do like in the calypso?
and can anyone tell me if its easy to get transport from the airport without booking or is it best to book before hand any info would be greatly appreciated

Hi Dodge .. I have merged your enquiry with this existing Hotel Nereo topic, which hopefully may provide some useful info while you wait for further feedback.
With regards to transport from the airport, you can pick up a taxi or bus without booking, however the bus service is very limited. If you require a shared or private transfer, this should be pre-booked. More info and advice on all these transport options can be found in our Alicante Airport Q&As topic.

Have just booked to go this Tuesday for a week and can't find this info anywhere.
Just wondered if they have a hairdrier in bathroom? Prob. not, as I can't find it written on any sie!

Most hotels do have hairdryers now but when I last stayed in the Nereo (2 years ago)they didn't have them.

I just emailed them in Spanish to request a higher level room (with full assistance from my fluently speaking son!) and forgot to ask about hairdrier....doh! Will do though.

We think Nereo is fab - good location, great food and friendly staff. If you don't like this hotel you are seriously hard to please!

Just added my review. Great hotel. No hairdryers in rooms, but free fridge, great aircon and free TV with limited channels.
You can have any type of potatoes with battered fish or pie, you don't always have to have chips with everything.
