Both are pretty good hotels so in terms of quality not a lot to choose, but the Esperanza is right on the beach and has pleasant gardens and pool areas. Maritimo is only a short walk to the beach. Both are quite German. Unless it has changed, the Esperanze Hotel is all-inclusive, but maybe only for German clients. There are in fact three parts to the Esperanze, there being two apartment sections as well as the hotel.

There is also little to choose between them as far as proximity to restaurants etc is concerned. Maritimo is more or less in Playa de Muro, the Esperanza a kilometre or so further into Playa de Muro.

hi andrew thanks for that i dont suppose you would know of any hotels on that kind of standard more closer to alcudia and maybe abit more nationality mixed

Generally the 4-stars, like Maritimo, tend to be mixed nationalities. There is a very good one, the Iberostar Ciudad Blanca on the beach by the Bellevue area of Puerto Alcudia. Another, Paraiso, is more Briitsh, 3-star I think, but next door to the Ciudad Blanca and also right on the beach. It has had some good comments on this site. Another one on the beach, a bit down the coast from these two is the Orquidea Playa. The advantage of all them would be that you are much closer to a lot of action, more so than in Playa de Muro.
