Needless to say we stopped using the place!!
Has anyone tried "Republic of Noodles" at the Lemon Tree?? They do food from Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and China. Heard it was good but haven't tried it myself yet.

Goldenflipflop we went in one night to have a nose really had a drink but no food they are expensive compared to the other restaurants around them. The setting is very nice but thats what you are paying for.The menu does'nt hold a lot of choice so really i was'nt that impressed but what i don't like someone else might. There was only us in when we went 8.00pm stayed till about 8.45.
We came out of there and ventured abit farther to the left of R/N and found Just Chinese you go down a little tunnel of love they call it we went in twice the food was lovely and alot cheaper than R/N.

Tony's Place is great for breakfast, I never had any other meals there though. A great place for lunch is about a 5min taxi ride around the corner to Amigos bar & restaurant. Its run by a lovely family and its under the Nerul bridge. The owners are Jose & Sabitha, and they also offer boat rides to watch dolphins or to catch giant crabs! Yum.
Shhhhhh!! Keep Amigos' secret
all i want is loads of amazing curry.
any ideas? we're staying in fort aguada.
oh hello by the way, someone seems to have nicked my name so i have registered as this in protest!

You should try Alfresco opposite All Spice in Apora. We went after a taxi driver said his friend's brother (who plays for Goa and India) owned it and it was one of only a few restaurants still owned by someone from Goa(you can see the sign from the road but the restaurant is hidden) The food was excellent, varied and fresh, I had beef cooked in portwine and rosemary (I had this on my two visits as it was so nice) mashed potatoe and fresh veg. Vino the owner is a lovely guy who manages the Apora football team. They even went and got his brother (the footballer) so the kids could meet him. Give it a try you won't be disapointed.

Hi, Can anyone confirm if The Fishermans Cove is still there and open half way down on the right in Beach Rd. We were there in March 2006. It was run by Lenny and Blaize, within the grounds of a small hotel. They were unsure if the hotel owners would let them continue in 2007. This is not the one with the same name on the main candolim/calangute road next to the Internet cafe.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Fishermans cove is now situated on the main Candolim Rd, it's on the corner in front of Fox's steak house (road that leads to Highland Beach Resort).

It has to be "Kebabs and Curries" up the small lane opposite Holiday Street.
The Chicken or Vegetable Jalfrezi is amazing.
They also do a Chicken Kebab that has been marinated in yoghurt and lime - superb.
Hi Goldenflipflop, thanks for the reply. Final questions if you don't mind. Do you know if it is still Lenny and Blaize running the show, and have you eaten or heard any comments regarding the food. Thanks again.
I had a really good pork Vindaloo (not too hot just nice n spicey
)in Oceanic beach shack in the night, watching the match (apparently there are different chefs on of a night) also a really tasty Chicken tikka masla at St Anthonys a few doors down much better than All Spice IMHO

Kebabs and Curries is still the best food in Goa in my opinion, everything we have tried there has been superb
Max (I think) also mentioned Kebabs n Curries so I really must give it a try it March. Must be good as quite a few HTers giving it good reviews on here
yes someone recommended it to us but we never got there, also Bistro by whispering palms was highly recommended
I need to start making a list for March then Debi, cos I read all these posts then forget half the places
I will take a note of Bistro as well, thanks
